Kevin James "Tooch"
Cooke, age 19, of Oxford, passed away peacefully with
his family by his side on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the IWK Hospital
in Halifax. after a life long battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
Born in Amherst, he was a son of Kevin (Bernadette
Newell), Oxford, and Elizabeth (Leonard Moore) Cooke,
Weschester.
He enjoyed 4 wheeling, socializing
with friends, fishing, hunting, going for drives in the fall with his
father and a good drink of Pepsi.
In addition
to his parents, he will be dearly missed by sisters Emma Newell,
Oxford, Cassie Newell and Hannah Newell, both at home, niece Kayden
Purcell, Oxford. Paternal grandmother Phyllis (Lee) Stewart, Oxford,
maternal grandmother Annie O'Brien, Pugwash Junction, several aunts,
uncles and cousins. Special friend Kaitlyn Thompson,
Oxford.
He was predeceased by a brother Arthur,
paternal grandfather Arthur Cooke and maternal grandfather Ralph
O'Brien.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
the W Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford, NS (447-2167) where
visiting hours will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
pm. The funeral service will take place on FRIDAY, January
28, 2011 at 2 pm (Due to the expected storm).
Those wishing to make a donation in Tooch's memory
may do so to the Cystic Fibrosis Society.
