Keeble (Read), C. Alice
Hilden/Wallace Bay South

Keeble, Catherine Alice, 97 went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on January 20, 2012 in the presence of Marilyn and Billy at William's Country Homes for Special Care.

"Absent from the body, present with the Lord", "In Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."

Born in West Leicester, she was the daughter of the late John and Minnie (Doncaster) Read.

She was a member of the Wallace River Baptist Church and a dominion life member of the Baptist Women's Missionary Societies of Canada.  She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and reading her Bible.  For several years she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.  Many elderly people were cared for by Alice at her home.

She is survived by daughter, and son-in-law, Marilyn and Billy Reid, Fox Harbour.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters Marjorie, Lillian, Rachel and Florence; and brothers, Walter, Everett, and Edward.

Since Alice moved to the Truro area, we are forever grateful for the loving care provided by Martha and staff; Barb, Vernon and Suzanne; Donna and staff; the Wallace River Baptist Church Family and Reverend Jack and Pat Briggins.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of W. Allen Funeral Home, Oxford (902-447-2167).  A time of visitation will be held at the Wallace River Baptist Church, 2441 Highway 368, Wallace River from 1 pm on Monday, January 23, 2012 until the time of the funeral at 2 pm.  Rev. Jack Briggins officiating.  Interment to be held in the spring.

Memorial donations may be made to the Wallace River Baptist Church, Riverside Cemetery at Wallace River or to a charity of choice.
