It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of Marilyn Joan McNeil, age 80,
of Stouffville, Ontario. Marilyn passed away on Saturday,
December 10, 2022 at the Mon Sheong Long Term Care
Facility.
Born in New Glasgow, NS, she was a
daughter of the late Percy and Beulah (Mattinson)
Smith.
Marilyn was a devoted Christian who
fervently believed in the power of prayer. She prayed constantly for
the salvation of everyone and instantly broke into prayer when aware
of anyone's apparent needs.
Marilyn was a hard worker, was generous
to a fault, loved to care for others, but her greatest love was her
children. She was a fearless PSW who bravely drove through terrible
middle of the night blizzards to reach needy patients.
Marilyn fought a good fight, she
finished her course, she kept the faith. She now enjoys her crown of
righteousness and the peace that passes all understanding which she
looked forward to most of her life.
She is survived by her daughters Beverly
Beaucage of Ajax, On and Anna (Andy Bower) Woodrow of Hudson, PQ; 2
granddaughters, Alexa and Ayla; sister in law Rosalind (Perrone)
Smith, New Glasgow, NS.
In addition to her parents she was
predeceased by her son Mark Woodrow and her brother Garey
Smith.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
W. Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water St.,
Oxford, NS (902-447-2167). A private committal service will
be held at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Marilyn may be
