Inez Mildred
Halliday, age 90, of Cedarstone Enhanced Care in Truro,
Nova Scotia passed away on October 19, 2020.
Born in Rose of Cumberland County NS,
she was the third daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Mitchell)
Halliday. In 1949, Inez graduated with honors from the Saint
Charles Commercial School in Amherst, Nova Scotia. For several years,
she worked there as a sales and office clerk at Barker store. Then she
moved to Halifax and was employed at Victoria General Hospital in the
Addressograph office. She retired in 1990 with 35 years of
service.
Inez was a kind and thoughtful person
throughout her life. She was always ready to help anyone in need. She
always like to have things "neat and tidy". At Christmas,
she would dress up and play the role of Santa at family gatherings.
She enjoyed traveling and had many memorable vacations within' Canada,
the United States and Europe. She regularly volunteered with the Red
Cross, Canadian Girls in Training and at many church functions. She
was a member of St. Matthew Church in Halifax and adherent of Millvale
United Church.
She is survived by sisters Vera (Max)
Brown of Truro, Shirley (William) Cox of South Branch, niece Heidi
Brown of Dartmouth, nephew; Scott (Nancy) Brown of Truro Heights and
step great niece; Kristen MacPhee.
She was predeceased by her sisters; Ina
Mae (her twin) in infancy, Berniece and Beryl, brother; Raymond, and
ex-husband; Donald MacNeil.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
care of W. Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water
Street, Oxford, Nova Scotia (902-447-2167) where visitation will be
held on October 22, 2020 from 1pm until the Funeral Service,
immediately following at 2 pm, Rev. Peter Anthony officiating.
Following the service, her remains will be interred in the Rose
Cemetery.

choice.
