It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Wanda E. Wood, age 67, of Oxford.  Wanda passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.

Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Marguerite (Hyndman) Tait.

Wanda loved and cared for her husband and her family.  Her door was always open and she had a heart bigger than any imagination.  She was a past employee of Oxford Frozen Foods until she was unable to work.  She enjoyed her crafts especially plastic canvas creations which she would gift to anyone and everyone.  She enjoyed the simple things such as a family Christmas Dinner and a regular trip to Tim Hortons and her fishing trips with Paul and the family.

She will be sadly missed by sons, Jason, Nanaimo, BC, Jeffrey, Oxford, and Shawn (Amanda), Oxford; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Brooke, and Issac; step-grandchildren, Timothy, Abigail and Catelyn; sister Sheryl Holloway; brother Dwight Tait.  She held a special place in her heart for her lifelong friend Marilyn Cooke and special cousin or fourth kid as she often joked, Tory Rushton.  Wanda loved all children but felt a special bond with her Great Nephew Mason Moore.

She was predeceased by her husband Paul, her parents and brother Brian Tait.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of W. Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water Street, Oxford (902-447-2167).  A private family viewing, followed by a family only (due to Covid Restrictions) graveside service at the Pine Grove Cemetery will occur on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.

The family would like to thank the hospital staff and a special thank you to Janet Tattrie for her continued support to Wanda during her battle.  You will never be forgotten.

Donations paid directly to W. Allen Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Sharing of memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting Wanda's online memorial at www.allenfuneralhome.ca or through the W. Allen Funeral Home Facebook Page.
