Dorothy L. Martin, 80 years of age, of Springhill, passed away peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Thursday, September 20, 2018 . Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Robert & Leah (Nutting) Black.

Dorothy's family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life. Dorothy loved to cook and bake and was well known for her home made fudge. Dorothy enjoyed spending time at her trailer at the shore in Tidnish.

Dorothy will be sadly missed by her husband of 43 years , Donald; daughter, Debbie Lovely of Stellarton; Don (Diane) of Saltsprings, NS; grandchildren, Steven McDonald of Stellarton, Jennifer Lovely-Henwood (Alex) of Westville, Danny Lovely (Sammi) of Riverview, NB; great grandchildren, Danielle McDonald, Marcy McDonald, Carlee McDonald, Rowan & Addison Henwood, Jackson Lovely; brother, Robert (Marjorie) of Upper Nappan, nephew Mark Hodges of Alberta & Robbie Black of Amherst.

Arrangements are under the direction of W. Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water St.,Oxford, NS (902-447-2167). No visitation by request. A graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 2 p.m. A reception to follow at W. Allen's Funeral Home, Oxford.
